Responsibilities and Development
- Responsible for learning Walgreens’ operations and leading full store operations across front-end and pharmacy, completing the accelerated development track to Store Manager as outlined in the learning plan.
- Under the Store Manager's guidance, oversees store operations, supports the team, and participates in training and development activities.
Training & Personal Development
- Complete a rigorous, accelerated program including all certifications needed for the Store Manager role.
- Participate in classroom, online, and on-the-job training, including rotations in other stores.
- Follow development plans and engage in continuous professional growth through meetings with managers.
- Seek self-development, monitor performance, and learn about retail, pharmacy, and management best practices.
- Learn and implement SOPs, and gain knowledge of technology systems.
- Obtain pharmacy technician registration/licensure and pursue PTCB certification as required.
Customer Experience
- Engage with customers, resolve complaints, and model customer service excellence.
- Monitor and improve customer service, empower team members, and analyze feedback to enhance service metrics.
Operations
- Gain experience supervising store operations, merchandising, inventory, and asset protection.
- Ensure compliance with laws and safety standards, and support team safety and respectful relationships.
- Assist with special tasks and store management responsibilities as needed.
Business Performance Management
- Learn to analyze store and pharmacy performance data, develop improvement plans, and identify sales opportunities.
- Review asset protection data and develop strategies to reduce loss.
- Qualifications include a Bachelor’s degree with 3 years retail management experience or a High School Diploma/GED with 5 years retail management experience, fluency in English, willingness to work flexible hours, and PTCB certification.
- Willingness to accept store management assignments and transfer locations within the area.
