Responsibilities

1. Learn Walgreens’ operations and lead full store operations across front-end and pharmacy, completing the accelerated development track to Store Manager as outlined in the learning plan.
2. Under the Store Manager’s guidance, oversee store operations, including pharmacy and front-end activities.
3. Support store operations by shadowing or assisting the Store Manager during the learning process.

Training & Personal Development

1. Complete a rigorous, accelerated program with all necessary certifications for the Store Manager role.
2. Participate in classroom, online, and on-the-job training, including rotations in other stores.
3. Follow development plans, engage in regular reviews with District and Store Managers, and demonstrate proficiency in learning topics.
4. Engage in self-development, monitor performance, and learn about retail, pharmacy, and management best practices.
5. Learn and implement compliance SOPs and gain proficiency in systems and software.
6. Obtain pharmacy technician registration/licensure as required by law and pursue PTCB certification if applicable.

Customer Experience

1. Engage customers and patients, resolve complaints, and model customer service excellence.
2. Monitor and improve customer service, coaching team members and analyzing feedback.
3. Assist Store Manager in observing customer service trends and improving service metrics.

Operations

1. Gain experience supervising store operations, including opening/closing, merchandising, and asset protection.
2. Support inventory management, ensure SOP adherence, and supervise merchandise handling.
3. Ensure compliance with laws regarding sales of regulated products and maintain store safety and policies.
4. Assist with special tasks and support team members as needed.

Business Performance Management

1. Learn to analyze financial and performance data, develop improvement plans, and identify sales opportunities.
2. Review asset protection data and develop loss reduction strategies.
3. Minimum qualifications include a Bachelor’s degree with 3 years retail management experience or a High School Diploma/GED with 5 years retail management experience.
4. Must be fluent in English (except in Puerto Rico), willing to work flexible hours, and accept potential transfers or store manager assignments.
5. Must hold PTCB Certification; a Bachelor’s Degree is preferred.
6. Previous managerial experience in retail or hospitality is advantageous.
