Job Description for Store Manager Unassigned at Walgreens

Join to apply for the Store Manager Unassigned role at Walgreens.

Responsibilities include:

  1. Learning Walgreens’ operations and leading full store operations across front-end and pharmacy, with a goal to complete the accelerated development track to Store Manager as outlined in the learning plan.
  2. Under the Store Manager's guidance, overseeing store operations, including front-end and pharmacy.
  3. Supporting store operations by shadowing or assisting the Store Manager during the learning journey.
Training & Personal Development
  • Completing a rigorous, accelerated program with all necessary certifications for the Store Manager role.
  • Participating in classroom, online, and on-the-job training, including rotations in other stores.
  • Following development plans and engaging in ongoing conversations with Store and District Managers for professional growth.
  • Monitoring own performance, seeking self-development, and learning about retail, pharmacy, and management best practices.
  • Implementing compliance SOPs, gaining knowledge of systems/software, and obtaining pharmacy technician registration/licensure as required.
Customer Experience
  • Engaging customers and patients, resolving complaints, and modeling customer service excellence.
  • Coaching and developing team members to improve service metrics and exceed customer expectations.
Operations
  • Gaining experience in supervising store operations, merchandising, asset protection, inventory management, and compliance with laws and regulations.
  • Supporting safety, security, and respectful workplace policies.
Business Performance Management
  • Learning to analyze financial and performance data, developing action plans to improve sales and control costs, and reducing loss.
Qualifications
  • Bachelor’s degree and 3 years retail management experience, or High School Diploma/GED and 5 years retail management experience.
  • Fluent in English (except in Puerto Rico).
  • Willing to work flexible hours and accept store transfer or management assignment.
  • PTCB Certification preferred.
