Job summary

Town Pump, Inc. is seeking a motivated Store Manager Trainee to join our team in the United States.

You will train with the store manager and co-manager to learn the full operation of the store and to make supervisory decisions in line with Town Pump standards. The role covers managing expenses, driving sales, margins, and promotional programs, while upholding customer service excellence and teamwork in Convenience Store Operations.

Qualifications

• Must be able to complete training to assume store manager duties.
• Must maintain valid driver's license with acceptable driving record.

Responsibilities

• train with the store manager and/or co-manager to learn the overall operation of the store; learn to make supervisory decisions consistent with Town Pump standards, policies, and procedures.
• understand controllable expenses, sales increases, inside gross margins, shortage controls, and promotional programs.
• set an exemplary example in professionalism, attitude, and teamwork in customer service and convenience store operations; communicate with customers and resolve complaints and inquiries.
• serve as acting store manager during the store manager’s absence (when the co-manager is not available)
• complete daily bookwork using a computer to record employee information, inventory, and sale information.
• order supplies and merchandise, inventory, invoicing, pricing, stocking, displaying, and rotating inventories.
• complete store maintenance and basic repairs, make bank deposits, and perform light cleaning of the store and restrooms.
• provide new employee hiring, training, and orientation; disciplines and/or terminates problem employees.
• maintain security of all store assets including cash, fuel, inventories, and store merchandise and labor hours.
