Job summary

GPM Investments, LLC in Simsbury, CT, is hiring a Store Manager who will lead operations and a team of 8–15 across all shifts. You will own store performance, drive sales, supervise staff, and ensure excellent service.

This hourly role requires open availability, hands-on leadership, and the ability to cover evenings, weekends, and holidays. You will manage inventory, banking, merchandising, and safety standards while developing teammates for growth.

Qualifications

• Minimum age 21+ required.
• Must have or obtain Food Safety Certification.
• Retail or grocery management experience preferred.
• Valid driverís license and reliable transportation.

Responsibilities

• Take full ownership of store operations, team, and performance.
• Lead 8–15 employees across all shifts.
• Cover all shifts, including evenings, overnights, weekends, and holidays.
• Perform duties of store employees, including cash handling and stocking.
• Coach staff to deliver excellent service and upsell promotions.
• Recruit, hire, and train new team members.
• Manage inventory, vendor orders, deliveries, and merchandising.
• Handle banking and cash deposits with required license/insurance.
• Maintain safety, cleanliness, and food safety standards.
• Control expenses and labor hours to meet sales goals.
• Execute company programs and marketing initiatives.
• Support cross-training and assist deli/QSR operations as needed.

What You’ll Do

• Take full ownership of your store's operations, team, and performance.
• Lead and inspire a team of 8-15 employees across all shifts.
• Be the go-to person when coverage is needed—you’ll typically work days but must be available for any shift, including evenings, overnights, weekends, and holidays.
• Perform all duties of store employees including running the register, stocking, upselling, cleaning restrooms, and maintaining the lot and fuel pumps.
• Coach team members to deliver excellent service and actively upsell promotions and key items.
• Recruit, hire, and train new team members, focusing on growth, accountability, and teamwork.
• Manage inventory, vendor orders, deliveries, and merchandising.
• Handle all banking and cash deposits—must have a valid driver’s license, reliable transportation, and insurance.
• Maintain high standards for safety, cleanliness, food safety, and customer satisfaction.
• Control expenses and labor hours while achieving store sales goals.
• Execute all company programs and marketing initiatives.
• Be willing to take on anything the store needs—including cross-training and stepping in to manage deli or QSR operations when necessary.
• Other duties as assigned.

• Retail or food management experience preferred.

• Strong communication skills, integrity, and decisiveness.
• Minimum age requirement 21+ years old
• Certification Must have (or be able to obtain obtain) a Food Safety Certification

Compensation & Benefits Disclosure

The pay range listed on this job posting reflects the minimum and maximum rate for the position. Actual starting pay will vary based on factors such as relevant experience, skills, and the shift for which the candidate is hired.

This Store Manager role is an hourly position requiring a minimum of 45 hours per week; the annual compensation reflects a base hourly wage for 40 hours and overtime pay for all hours worked beyond 40 each week
