Responsibilities

Sprouts Store Managers oversee and manage the entire operations of an assigned store, including departments such as Produce, Bakery, Deli, Meat, Dairy, Frozen Foods, Vitamins, Beer/Wine, Bulk Foods, and others. They are responsible for ensuring the store operates efficiently and profitably, maintaining cleanliness, safety, and well-stocked inventory. They handle profits and losses, staff hiring and termination, disciplinary actions, training and development, inventory management, sales promotion, merchandising, staff issues, customer complaints, community relations, policy compliance, and administrative duties.

Qualifications

To qualify as a Store Manager at Sprouts Farmers Market, you must:

• Have 1-3 years of retail management experience.
• Be dependable and flexible, able to work nights, weekends, holidays, and adapt to store needs.
• Possess strong communication skills and the ability to lead a team.
• Be outgoing, friendly, and engaging with customers.
• Manage department staff, including interviewing, hiring, training, scheduling, and performance evaluations.
• Demonstrate leadership skills to motivate staff and understand financial reports and goals.
• Handle emergencies and issues effectively, documenting incidents as needed.
• Have attention to detail, problem-solving skills, and the ability to coordinate sales promotions and displays.
• Prioritize food safety and sanitation, ensuring all products are fresh and regulations are followed.
• Maintain Food Safety certification and comply with all safety and health regulations.
• Be organized, able to prioritize tasks, and physically able to lift up to 75 lbs., and stand for long periods.
