Job summary

Lids Sports Group is seeking a Store Manager to lead day-to-day operations and drive sales in a high-volume retail setting in Tempe, AZ. You will oversee hiring, onboarding, training, and performance, while ensuring exceptional customer service and adherence to company standards.

You will manage scheduling, inventory, visual merchandising, and store conditions, collaborating with district leadership to execute promotions and initiatives. A strong leader with SQL?

Qualifications

• Established ability to produce sales results while minimizing loss.
• Proven supervisory skills, with capacity to deliver training material and assess retention.
• Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
• Proven ability to perform independently with minimal supervision.
• Ability and willingness to travel overnight for training and/or business meetings.
• Ability to work varying days and hours, based on business needs, and maintain an excellent attendance record.
• Proven managerial skills.

Responsibilities

• Manage store’s hiring strategy, including planning needs and recruitment strategy.
• Assist in onboarding to acclimate new team members to Lids.
• Lead training strategy and coach non-Keyholders on promotions or program changes.
• Collaborate across store channels to align with district and regional initiatives.
• Drive team engagement with recognition and performance documentation.
• Plan and manage staff schedules to optimize efficiency and stay compliant.
• Maintain store technology and equipment and coordinate repairs as needed.
• Ensure cash handling accuracy and prepare for inventory audits.
• Drive overall store product strategy and implement markdowns and promotions.
• Monitor sell-through and maintain inventory accuracy.
• Execute visual merchandising and store presentation changes.
