Job summary

Dollar General seeks an experienced store manager to oversee all employees and day-to-day store operations. You will plan and implement processes for ordering, stocking, presentation, selling and staffing while ensuring adherence to company policies and safety standards.

You will lead recruiting, training, performance reviews, and coaching, promoting superior customer service and financial integrity in a fast-paced retail environment.

Qualifications

• Ability to read and interpret documents such as diagrams, safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedures manuals
• Ability to perform basic mathematical calculations and percentages
• Knowledge of cash handling procedures and deposit control
• Experience with IBM cash register functions to generate reports

Responsibilities

• Recruit, select and retain qualified employees and ensure proper staffing.
• Provide training, conduct performance evaluations, and address gaps including counseling or termination when needed.
• Make recommendations on pay rates and advancement.
• Communicate performance, conduct and safety expectations; coordinate meetings and events.
• Open and close the store reliably; maintain daily staffing and operations
