Burlington Stores in Pittsfield, MA is seeking a Store Manager to lead a multi‑million‑dollar operation and drive sales while upholding our values. You will mentor the team, ensure excellent customer service, and partner with merchandising and operations to optimize store performance.

Ideal candidates bring 5+ years of retail management experience in large-format or specialty environments, with flexibility in schedule and the ability to handle inventory controls, payroll, and staffing needs.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of Retail Management experience in a Big Box or Specialty environment.
• Flexible schedule including early mornings, nights, weekends, and holidays as required.
• Ability to lift and move boxes up to 40 lbs.
• Experience using scheduling and reporting computer software.
• Travel may be required.

Responsibilities

• Direct management and oversight of Assistant Managers, Supervisors, and Store Associates to ensure policies and initiatives are implemented.
• Ensure team members fulfill their individual responsibilities.
• Coordinate merchandise placement, sales promotions, and pricing with Merchandising.
• Review receiving, transfers, debits/damages, RTVs, and chargeback paperwork for inventory accuracy.
• Act as Manager on Duty; lead by example and model Burlington SOPs.
• Manage multi-million-dollar sales volume and expense budget, with reporting and records.
• Recruitment, screening and hiring of associates to meet staffing needs.
• Onboarding and training for new associates; coaching and development activities for all staff.
• Handle personnel and associate relations issues.
• Payroll budgeting, workforce management and scheduling.
• Foster effective communication across store, district, and regional teams.
