Job summary

Dollar General is seeking a Store Manager Candidate to support the Store Manager in daily operations, staffing, inventory, merchandising, cash control, and customer service at our Weaver, Alabama store. You will participate in recruiting, training, opening and closing duties, and ensure compliance with safety and company policies while developing skills for future Store Manager responsibilities.

Note: This role may require travel between nearby stores and a willingness to learn store operations

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent strongly preferred.
• One year of experience in a retail environment preferred for external candidates.
• Knowledge of cash handling procedures including cashier accountability and deposit controls.

Responsibilities

• Assist in recruiting and staffing activities.
• Assist with store merchandising by staging, stocking and pricing of merchandise.
• Assist in all aspects of inventory management and prepare inventories.
• Follow prescribed ordering practices to meet in-stock targets.
• Provide superior customer service leadership.
• Open and close store duties and ensure cash control procedures.
