Job summary

Dollar Tree Stores is seeking a Store Manager in Training in Clifton, NJ. You will recruit and hire store associates, train on operations and merchandising, and coach teams to deliver excellent customer service.

You will oversee daily operations, enforce policies, and implement direction from corporate headquarters. You will drive store performance, protect assets, and maintain a safe, respectful environment with high-energy teamwork and strong communication.

Qualifications

• Minimum 3 years prior retail management experience.
• Experience with hardlines or variety merchandise; BIG BOX experience preferred.
• Strong productivity management in freight processing.
• Strong communication, interpersonal, and written skills.
• Ability to work in a high-energy, team environment.
• Ability to lift 30–50 lbs and perform physical tasks as required.

Responsibilities

• Recruit and hire store associates to serve our customers.
• Foster growth and development of associates through training on operations and merchandising while coaching and correcting when appropriate.
• Oversee and delegate all store activities to ensure smooth daily operations.
• Ensure compliance with laws and regulations while enforcing company policies.
• Perform opening and closing procedures as needed.
• Implement operational and merchandising direction from corporate.
• Help store reach maximum profit contribution.
• Protect company assets.
• Maintain a high level of customer service across the store.
