Job summary

Rocket Stores is seeking a Manager-In-Training in a full-time position with a comprehensive benefits package. The MIT will complete a training program under supervision of the Store Manager and learn to manage daily operations while maintaining a customer-friendly environment.

MITs receive on-the-job training, career progression into Store Manager roles, and benefits such as health coverage, 401(k), and tuition reimbursement.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of experience as a Supervisor, lead or assistant manager in a retail or fast food environment.
• Ability to coach, train and develop your team to advance in their careers.
• Must be at least 21 years of age.
• High School diploma or GED is preferred but not required.
• Must have a valid, clean Driver's License.
• Ability to communicate effectively in English, both verbally and in writing.
• Must be able to provide work authorization in the United States if hired.
• Flexible to work varying shifts, including overnights and holidays.
• Able to stand/walk for at least 8 hours.
• Able to lift/carry up to 20 pounds for 30 minutes; push/pull up to 20 pounds.
• Occasionally climb a ladder for signage or storage.
• Some locations may require comfort in small spaces.

Responsibilities

• Complete training program under supervision of Store Manager and learn to manage daily operations.
• Direct and supervise daily store operations.
• Maintain a pleasant environment for customers and team members per company policies.
• Receive on-the-job training and transition into Store Manager role.
