Job Summary
The Salon Director in Training helps drive store performance, fosters superior client service, and maintains operational excellence to meet or exceed productivity goals. This role manages and supervises Tanning Consultants, leading by example in all operations, fostering a sense of urgency, and holding the team accountable for delivering an exceptional client experience.
Tasks & Responsibilities:
- Monitor and manage daily salon operations in a fast-paced environment.
- Lead by example, creating a client-centric experience and meeting sales expectations.
- Maintain a professional and clean salon environment.
- Set clear goals and objectives for team members.
- Provide coaching, training, and feedback to improve performance.
- Generate sales reports, maintain inventory, and assist with other Director functions.
- Assist in controlling revenue and expenses.
- Maintain proper staffing levels for productivity and customer service while managing labor costs.
- Work nights & weekends as required.
- Work approximately 35 to 45 hours per week, depending on employment status.
Experience:
- Management and/or sales experience required.
- Beauty Industry and/or customer service experience preferred.
- Basic computer skills (Word, Excel, Outlook)
- Ability to manage effectively in a fast-paced environment.
- Knowledge of client service techniques and operational practices.
- Strong problem-solving, organizational, and planning skills.
- Leadership skills to coach and mentor others.
- Team building skills.
- Ability to prioritize and delegate tasks.
Physical Requirements:
- Ability to stand and walk for long periods.
- Ability to bend at the waist to clean equipment.
- Ability to lift or assist in lifting heavy items.
- Ability to bend to pick up items from the floor.
- Ability to perform cleaning functions like dusting, sweeping, mopping, and scrubbing.
