Job summary

Circle K is hiring a Store Manager for Crete, IL to lead daily store operations, drive sales and ensure excellent customer service. You will recruit, train, schedule staff, oversee merchandising, and monitor stock and finances to meet company standards.

Qualifications

• High School diploma or GED preferred.
• Retail sales experience preferred.
• Experience to perform the essential duties and responsibilities.
• Ability to supervise and train staff on equipment and procedures.
• Ability to supervise and manage store functions.
• Computer usage for reports, inventory and cash control.
• Valid driver’s license and reliable transportation.
• English communication skills (oral and written).

Responsibilities

• Recruit, hire and train employees to deliver excellent customer service.
• Develop and assign tasks to keep the site clean, stocked and well kept.
• Maintain professional relationships with subordinates and supervisors.
• Schedule employees to maximize customer service and site image.
• Apply non-discriminatory management practices in hiring, training and counseling.
• Develop positive relationships with suppliers and resolve customer complaints.
• Promote safe, positive public image within the community.
• Prepare performance appraisals in writing with feedback.
• Train employees on customer service, site image and marketing execution.
• Train all employees on safety procedures and awareness.
• Ensure timely communication with employees and meetings with Market Manager.
• Organize action plans to meet objectives and maintain site files.
• Supervise reports and ensure correct merchandising and pricing.
• Post employment posters and signs in accessible locations.
• Analyze daily sales and expenses to maximize profits.
