Store Manager In Training (SMIT) Program

The SMIT role is a development-focused position designed to prepare you for a CVS Store Manager role. The program spans 16 weeks and includes self-paced, collaborative training with both virtual and hands-on experiences.

Your growth is supported by a team including your District Leader, Human Resources Business Partner, Training Store Manager, and Store Manager coach.

Key Skills Needed
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills to support and lead your team.
  • Ability to perform customer care duties with high service standards.
  • Execution of merchandising strategies to support store sales.
  • Management of store inventory and assets to maintain profitability.
Expectations for SMITs
  • Engage actively with your leader in Key Learning Experiences for promotion readiness.
  • Support store operations in alignment with CVS values and policies.
  • Inspire colleagues in support of the company's purpose: "helping people on their path to better health."
  • Willingness to accept promotion roles within the market.

Note: Selection as an SMIT does not guarantee promotion to Store Manager. Promotions depend on performance, openings, and other factors.

Qualifications
  • High School diploma or GED (required).
  • Bachelor's Degree (preferred) or relevant work experience in retail management or as a CVS Supervisor.
Additional Requirements
  • Willingness to accept a Store Manager role at any location within the market.
  • Ability to transfer to other CVS stores within the market.
  • Flexible schedule based on business needs.
Additional Details

Anticipated Weekly Hours: 45

Time Type: Full-time

Pay Range: $18.50 - $26.25 per hour
