The Store Manager In Training (SMIT) job is a development-focused role designed to prepare you for a CVS Store Manager position.

The SMIT program aims to enhance your career as a future store leader through a self-paced, collaborative training over 16 weeks, including virtual and hands-on learning experiences supported by your District Leader, HR Business Partner, Training Store Manager, and Store Manager coach.

Skills Needed for This Role Include:

  • Effective verbal and written communication skills to support and lead your team.
  • Customer care duties to provide high levels of service.
  • Executing merchandising strategies to support store sales growth.
  • Managing store inventory and assets to maintain profitability.

We expect our SMITs to:

  • Actively engage with leadership in Key Learning Experiences to support your promotion path during the program.
  • Support store operations as a management team member, aligning with CVS values and policies.
  • Engage colleagues to support the company's purpose of "helping people on their path to better health."
  • Be willing to accept promotion roles within the market.

Note: Selection does not guarantee promotion; promotion depends on performance and available openings.

Requirements include:

  • Willingness to accept a promotion anywhere in the market.
  • Ability to transfer within CVS stores in the market.
  • Flexible work schedule based on business needs.
  • High School diploma or GED (required).
  • Bachelor's Degree (preferred) or relevant work experience.

Additional Details:

  • Weekly hours: 40
  • Time type: Full-time
  • Pay range: $18.50 - $28.67 per hour, based on experience and location
