Program Overview

The Store Manager In Training (SMIT) program is a development-focused role designed to prepare you for a CVS Store Manager position. It includes self-paced, collaborative training over 16 weeks, with virtual and hands-on learning experiences. Support for your growth includes your District Leader, HR Business Partner, Training Store Manager, and Store Manager coach.

Skills Needed
  • Communicate well verbally and in writing to support and lead your team.
  • Perform customer care duties to provide high levels of service.
  • Execute merchandising strategies to support store sales growth.
  • Manage store inventory and assets to maintain profitability.
Expectations for SMITs
  • Engage actively with your leader during Key Learning Experiences.
  • Support your store as a management team member, aligning with CVS values and policies.
  • Engage colleagues in supporting the company's purpose of helping people on their path to better health.
  • Be willing to accept promotion roles within the market.

Note: Selection does not guarantee promotion; promotion depends on performance and available openings.

Qualifications
  • Willingness to accept a promotion to Store Manager at any location within the market.
  • Ability to transfer to other CVS stores within the market.
  • Ability to work a flexible schedule based on business needs.
  • High School diploma or GED required.
  • Bachelor's Degree preferred or relevant work experience considered.
Job Details

Hours: 45 hours/week

Type: Full-time

Pay Range: $18.50 - $23.88 per hour
