Assist the store manager in sales, appearance, and overall operations. The objective is to receive hands-on training to prepare for a management position in another store or future location.

Essential Job Functions

1. Supervise store operations and team members involved, including delivery, installer service specialists, parts, and merchandising specialists.
2. Work with district and store managers in recruiting, testing, hiring, evaluating, promoting, disciplining, and discharging team members.
3. Communicate information from team meetings to all team members.
4. Train new team members and handle performance evaluations and pay increases.
5. Assist in recruiting, interviewing, and selecting qualified team members.
6. Support store safety compliance and training.
7. Make sales calls with or without the store manager and support store operations as assigned.
8. Maintain delivery fleet records and ensure the store is neat and organized.
9. Learn to use electronic scheduling, clocking, payroll, and manage key financial components like gross profit and KPI dashboards.

Skills, Education, and Experience

• High School Diploma.
• Excellent interpersonal and leadership skills.
• Completion of Assistant Manager Certification, Sales Specialist Training, and Manager Development Program.
• Ability to quickly match numerical and alphabetic characters.
• Knowledge of automotive parts, equipment, and systems.

Desired Qualifications

• Experience in O’Reilly store or distribution center.
• Completed management training program.
• Advanced computer skills.
• ASE Certification.
• Fluency in multiple languages, especially Spanish.
