Job summary

Green Acres Nursery & Supply is expanding to Modesto and seeks a Store Manager (or Assistant Store Manager). The role focuses on maximizing daily store operations, increasing profitability, and leading a team to meet the company’s goals in a dynamic retail environment.

The candidate will oversee customer service, sales targets, labor costs, and inventory, while maintaining OSHA safety standards and delivering exceptional experiences for customers and staff.

Qualifications

• Knowledge of principles and processes for providing excellent customer service.
• Knowledge of the Company's POS system, basic Microsoft programs, Company e-mail and their capabilities.
• Extensive knowledge of products and plants.
• Ability to adapt to the fast-paced environment of the industry and be flexible and open to new ideas and changes.
• Weekend availability; Flexibility regarding shifts and hours.

Responsibilities

• Maximize daily operations, increase profitability of the store and manage its employees with the highest standards.
• Oversee all aspects of the store to ensure success daily as well as the strategic goals of the Company.
• Maintain customer service goals and objectives, ensuring each customer has a great experience.
• Recruit and support new customers and employees; enforce company policies.
• Meet and work to exceed sales goals; control labor costs and inventory accuracy.
