Overview

Golf Galaxy is seeking a Specialty Retail Store Manager to oversee store operations.

  1. Drive sales and profitability through customer satisfaction and report analysis.
  2. Establish and maintain effective relationships with customers by ensuring high associate engagement and service levels.
  3. Drive and sustain sales intensity, operational integrity, and profitability within the store by setting high expectations, holding staff accountable, and monitoring progress.
  4. Effectively schedule for the store, develop payroll plans, and monitor payroll daily.
  5. Uphold Golf Galaxy standards for merchandise presentation.
  6. Responsible for recruitment, interviewing, and hiring across the store.
  7. Select, onboard, empower, and develop a highly effective team.
  8. Lead consistent evaluation and development of in-store talent.
  9. Define a clear vision and strategy to communicate expectations.
  10. Demonstrate flexible leadership to foster team engagement, including recognition.
  11. Create a motivating store climate, share wins, foster open dialogue, and promote a sense of belonging.
  12. Hold team members accountable, facilitate change, and provide coaching/feedback.
  13. Issue counseling and disciplinary actions as needed.
  14. Drive shrink results through compliance with safety, loss prevention, and cash-handling procedures.
  15. Ensure completion of all training requirements across the store.
  16. Incorporate customer perspectives when defining success.

Qualifications
  1. 5+ years retail management experience required; golf sales/service preferred.
  2. Technical skills in club repair & fitting preferred.
  3. World-class customer service and interpersonal/communication skills.
  4. Strong problem-solving and analytical skills.
  5. Proficiency in MS Office.
  6. Flexible availability, including nights, weekends, and holidays.
