Golf Galaxy is seeking a specialty Retail Store Manager to oversee store operations. Responsibilities include:
- Driving sales and profitability through customer satisfaction and report analysis.
- Establishing and maintaining effective relationships with customers by ensuring high associate engagement and service levels.
- Driving and sustaining sales intensity, operations integrity, and profitability within the store by setting high expectations, holding staff accountable, and monitoring progress.
- Effectively scheduling for the store, developing payroll plans, and monitoring payroll daily.
- Upholding Golf Galaxy standards for merchandise presentation.
- Recruiting, interviewing, and hiring across the store.
- Selecting, onboarding, empowering, and developing a highly effective team.
- Leading the evaluation and development of in-store talent.
- Defining a clear vision and strategy to communicate expectations.
- Demonstrating flexible leadership to foster team engagement, recognition, and a positive work environment.
- Holding team members accountable, removing barriers, facilitating change, and providing coaching/feedback.
- Issuing counseling and disciplinary actions when necessary.
- Driving shrink results through compliance with safety, loss prevention, and cash-handling procedures.
- Ensuring completion of training requirements across the store.
- Incorporating customer perspectives when defining success.
Qualifications include:
- 5+ years retail management experience; golf sales/service preferred.
- Technical skills in club repair & fitting preferred.
- World-class customer service and interpersonal skills.
- Strong problem-solving and analytical skills.
- Proficiency in MS Office.
- Flexible availability including nights, weekends, and holidays.
