Assistant Store Manager - Golf Galaxy

Overview

Golf Galaxy is seeking a passionate, people-first store leader to oversee store operations in their area of the store.

The Assistant Store Manager is responsible for driving brand and operational excellence by ensuring the team delivers engaging customer service. They focus on teammate coaching, development, wellbeing, and are involved in financial metrics, store performance, and planning.

Responsibilities

• Manage teammates in Operational Departments (Front End, Freight, Operations) and serve as Head Coach for other areas.
• Ensure operational standards and brand standards are met, and work with teammates on capability development.
• Ensure compliance with operational standards such as Scan & Activate, SIM, claims, SFS/BOPIS, checkout speed, stockroom organization, cash handling, LP audits, etc.
• Follow all company operational processes, including cash handling and safety, and conduct LP audits as needed.
• Monitor communication channels and ensure timely task execution.
• Manage back-office procedures including hiring, onboarding, I-9, background checks, personnel changes, payroll, and personnel files.
• Participate in hiring, onboarding, training, and performance management of teammates.
• Enhance customer experience by engaging with athletes and coaching associates.
• Manage payroll and scheduling based on customer traffic and sales reports.
