A leading company in the travel goods market is looking for a Store Manager for their Georgetown location in Washington D.C. This role involves delivering exceptional customer service, leading a passionate team, and managing store operations for success. We are hiring a Store Manager to lead our Washington D.C., Georgetown team.
Our Retail team creates a transformative experience for each and every customer that visits any of our seventeen stores around the world. We build connections with our customers through comprehensive product education, world-class-service standards, and operational excellence. We pride ourselves in owning the offline touch point for our brand, and use it as an opportunity to foster a stronger Away community.

You'll ensure your team is delivering best-in-class, exceptional customer service to every person, every time
You’ll embody our brand standards and core values by setting ambitious expectations, prioritizing accordingly, and taking accountability for your results
You'll take proactive ownership of all store operations to make sure the store hits financial objectives and remains compliant with all operational expectations
You’ll work cross-functionally with CX and HQ partners to ensure the store upholds expectations of operational excellence
You’ll drive brand awareness by supporting and executing impactful community events and partnerships in partnership with HQ
You’ll use company tools and tactics to analyze opportunities, strategize, and implement action plans to drive the business to success
You’ll ensure your team meets individual KPI expectations and sales goals by providing metrics, KPIs, and continuous feedback and coaching
You’ll develop your team by welcoming new perspectives and ways of working/thinking, promoting a culture of learning and feedback, and communicating often and openly
You’ll inspire and align people around a path to achieve our vision
You’ll lead inventory cycle counts in partnership with inventory control, and will manage loss prevention
You’ll dedicate time for feedback with each of your direct reports at least once per month
You’ll lead weekly leadership meetings to align, share strategy, and implement long-term solutions for business opportunities
You’ll assess talent needs and proactively recruit, hire, and maintain headcount
You have extensive elevated customer service and managerial experience, preferably at a scaling company within the retail industry
You’re a proven leader who uses business acumen to connect the day-to-day work to effectively drive results
You have precise attention to detail and an entrepreneurial mindset
You’re an excellent communicator, collaborator, and teammate
You’re a team player that is comfortable getting their hands dirty
You have experience managing a team, including recruiting, hiring, and retaining
You have experience fostering learning, developing people, and aligning teams around a path to achieve the company’s vision
You’re reliable, effective, and take accountability for the success of your business
You’re solution oriented; you are resourceful with commitment to following through
Ability to pull, push, lift, and carry up to 25 pounds throughout the duration of a work shift
Ability to stand/be on feet for extended periods of time throughout the duration of a work shift
Ability to bend, squat, twist, and reach as needed throughout the duration of a work shift

Our total rewards are inclusive of both compensation and benefits. What we offer within a salary range is dependent on a number of factors, including scope and qualifications for the role, skillset, and balancing internal equity relative to other Away employees. Salary and benefit offerings are reviewed during phone screenings to ensure alignment.
Salary Range: $75,000.00 - $80,000.00 annually
This role is eligible to participate in Away’s Retail Incentive Bonus Plan, the terms of which are determined on an basis at the discretion of the company
Equity Grant: commensurate with level determined at the discretion of the company
