Job summary

Staples, Inc. in Massachusetts seeks a General Manager to lead store operations with a customer-centric, team-oriented approach. You will drive merchandise sales, printing and marketing services, and small business support while cultivating community relationships.

You’ll develop your team through coaching and performance management, ensure operational excellence, and deliver profitable results in a fast-paced retail environment.

Qualifications

• Progressively responsible store management experience in retail.
• Customer-centric environment and consultative selling experience.
• Team development to drive operational excellence and YOY margins.
• Ability to lift/move up to 50 pounds and stand/walk for long periods.

Responsibilities

• Provide strong leadership in community, customer service, sales, and team development.
• Lead merchandise sales, print & marketing services and retail operations.
• Drive profitable sales and margin while reducing variability and improving performance YoY.
• Hold team accountable for flawless execution of operational excellence.
• Coach managers and supervisors to create a culture of consultative selling and total solutions.
• Overall leadership of running a store; additional responsibilities as needed.
