This role focuses on developing internal candidates for the Store Manager role, with responsibilities in cashier accountability, merchandising, and daily store performance. Travel may be required.

Qualifications

• Ability to read and interpret store procedures and safety rules.
• Strong math skills for calculations and pricing.
• Knowledge of cash handling procedures and deposits.
• Ability to learn IBM cash register functions and generate reports.
• Knowledge of inventory management and merchandising practices.
• Familiarity with store security policies and cash control.
• Ability to recruit, hire, and train staff and ensure compliance.
• Effective oral and written communication and interpersonal skills.

Responsibilities

• Assist in recruiting and staffing activities.
• Assist with store merchandising and pricing according to standards.
• Assist in inventory management, damages, markdowns, and paperwork.
• Follow ordering practices to meet in-stock targets.
• Provide superior customer service leadership.
• Model company procedures and maintain SOP compliance.
• Participate in store opening and closing activities.
• Maintain fiscal integrity and cash controls.
• Maintain clean, well-stocked stores and a safe environment.
• Operate store in manager’s absence.
• Review operating statements for trends and opportunities.
• Complete all paperwork with deadlines.
