Job summary

Catalyst Brands, owner of JCPenney stores, seeks a Store Manager to lead a high-performing team, deliver exceptional customer experiences, and drive profitable store operations. You will hire, train, and coach associates while modeling values and ensuring excellent execution across merchandising and daily tasks.

The role reports to the District Sales Manager and requires a proven sales track record, leadership presence, and flexibility to work evenings and weekends.

Qualifications

• 2+ years as a Store Manager or equivalent in a similar volume environment.
• Proven track record of exceeding sales and statistical expectations.
• Flexible availability including evenings and weekends.
• Occasional travel to other store locations and district meetings.

Responsibilities

• Use data and market knowledge to create action plans for financial, customer-service and operational goals.
• Demonstrate product knowledge, selling and operational skills to maximize sales.
• Engage with customers to build relationships and brand loyalty using company tools.
• Attract, develop and retain top talent; motivate and engage teams.
• Provide feedback and set clear expectations to achieve results.
• Oversee merchandising, operations and controllable expenses to increase profitability.
• Lead floor sets, window changes, and other merchandising/visual tasks; manage shifts in absence of Assistant Manager.
