Job summary

Staples is seeking a General Manager to lead a collaborative, inclusive retail team and drive community relationships, merchandise sales, and the services portfolio. You will shape a customer-centric store culture and deliver strong business results while coaching and developing staff.

The role emphasizes leadership in customer service, team development, and operational excellence, with focus on community impact and total solutions delivery across sales, services, and operations.

Qualifications

• 1+ year progressively responsible store management experience in a retail environment as a General/Store Manager.
• Store Operations experience with analysis, planning, financial acumen and driving results.
• Experience creating a customer centric environment and working in a consultative selling environment.
• Experience developing a team in operational excellence to drive profitable YOY sales and margins.

Responsibilities

• Provide strong leadership in community, customer service, sales, and team development.
• Lead merchandise sales, print & marketing services and retail operations.
• Drive profitable sales and margins while reducing variability and improving YoY performance.
• Coach managers to create a culture of consultative selling and total solutions.

Essential Skills And Experience

• Ability to lift/move materials in the 10-50 pound range, climb ladders, stand and walk continuously
