Description
Summary: At Fisher Auto Parts, the Store Manager is the senior leader in the store. The Store Manager must be knowledgeable about all aspects of store operations and committed to inspiring associates to succeed while providing excellent customer service. Success depends on executing company objectives, policies, and procedures aligned with Fisher's core values of offering "the best quality at very competitive prices." Our primary goal is "service to our customers."
Key Responsibilities
- Manage daily store operations to meet company objectives and uphold core values;
- Achieve and exceed sales, expense, and financial goals, including accounts receivable;
- Maintain a safe and respectful environment for associates and customers.
Knowledge, Skills, Duties, and Abilities
- Drive business growth by exceeding sales, payroll, and profit goals, focusing on accounts receivable and credit collections;
- Manage inventory for profitability and product availability;
- Develop effective pricing strategies in competitive markets;
- Ensure store safety and security;
- Provide high standards of customer service and handle complaints promptly;
- Maintain store appearance and merchandising standards;
- Work effectively in a fast-paced environment;
- Make sound business decisions and communicate effectively;
- Lead and develop store staff, holding them accountable for results;
- Manage resources efficiently and build strong relationships with staff and customers;
- Manage labor and payroll costs;
- Plan and delegate duties, monitor activities, and ensure safety and compliance;
- Understand store operations including inventory, stocking, warehousing, and delivery systems;
- Maintain high organizational and motivational standards;
- Utilize marketing, training, and customer technology tools to increase sales;
- Use computerized systems like electronic parts catalogs, inventory control, and invoicing;
- Develop work schedules to ensure store coverage and high customer service levels;
- Monitor store activities to ensure safety, efficiency, and achievement of business objectives;
- Possess working knowledge of automotive systems.
Conditions of Employment
- High school diploma or GED required; bachelor’s degree preferred;
- 2-3 years of management experience in wholesale/retail;
- Valid driver’s license and satisfactory MVR required;
- Pre-employment drug test required;
- ASE Certification is preferred but not necessary;
- Adherence to company policies and procedures is mandatory.
Work Schedule
Must be flexible to work days, evenings, and weekends as needed to provide quality service and grow the business.
Physical Demands & Environment
- Frequent standing, walking, sitting, using hands, reaching, climbing, stooping, and talking;
- May need to operate a vehicle;
- Lift up to 50 pounds frequently and up to 100 pounds occasionally;
- Work environment includes store conditions, potential exposure to chemicals, weather, and noise levels are moderate to light.
