SUMMARY:
At Fisher Auto Parts, the Store Manager is the senior leader in the store. The Store Manager must be knowledgeable about all aspects of store operations and committed to inspiring associates to succeed while providing excellent customer service. Success depends on executing company objectives, policies, and procedures aligned with Fisher's core values of offering "the best quality at very competitive prices." Our primary goal is service to our customers.
Key Responsibilities
The Store Manager oversees all store operations, including:
- Managing daily business to meet company objectives and uphold core values;
- Achieving sales and expense targets, including accounts receivable goals;
- Maintaining a safe and respectful environment for associates and customers.
Knowledge, Skills, Duties, and Abilities
- Growing the business by exceeding sales, payroll, and profit goals, focusing on accounts receivable and collections;
- Managing inventory for profitability and product availability;
- Developing effective pricing strategies;
- Ensuring safety and security standards are met;
- Providing high standards of customer service and handling complaints promptly;
- Maintaining store appearance and merchandising standards;
- Working effectively in a fast-paced environment;
- Making sound business decisions;
- Communicating effectively with staff and management;
- Leading and developing high-performing teams;
- Managing resources efficiently and building strong relationships with staff and customers;
- Controlling labor and payroll costs;
- Planning, scheduling, and delegating duties;
- Managing inventory levels and store operations including logistics;
- Utilizing marketing and customer technology tools;
- Using computerized systems for inventory, sales, and credit management;
- Ensuring safety and operational efficiency;
- Managing time effectively and maintaining high standards of customer service;
- Possessing knowledge of automotive systems.
Conditions of Employment
- High school diploma or GED required; bachelor's preferred;
- 2-3 years of management experience in retail/wholesale;
- Valid driver’s license and satisfactory MVR report;
- Pre-employment drug test required;
- ASE certification is preferred but not required;
- Adherence to company policies and procedures.
Work Schedule
Flexible schedule including days, evenings, and weekends as needed to serve customers and grow the business.
Physical Demands and Environment
- Frequent standing, walking, sitting, and handling objects; ability to lift up to 50 pounds regularly and up to 100 pounds occasionally;
- Work may involve exposure to various environmental conditions and hazards typical of retail environments.
