Job summary

Oberweis is hiring a Store Manager for our ice cream shop to lead daily operations and deliver exceptional customer experiences. You will oversee the scoop team, manage shifts, and ensure clean, efficient service while maintaining high energy and a fun atmosphere.

Ideal candidates bring leadership experience in food service, strong communication skills, and a passion for training staff, controlling costs, and delivering memorable experiences for every guest.

Qualifications

• Previous leadership or supervisory experience, preferably in food service.
• Strong communication and problem-solving skills.
• Ability to lead, supervise and train employees in all product preparation, packaging and cleaning duties.
• Experience with cost controls and inventory management.
• Thrive in a fast-paced, high-energy environment.
• Weekend and evening availability.

About the Role

We’re looking for a high-energy, people-loving Store Manager to help lead our ice cream shop to sweet success! You’ll be the right-hand hero to the District Manager, keeping operations smooth, customers happy, and the vibes as fun as our flavors.

What You’ll Be Doing

• Leading and motivating our awesome scoop squad
• Delivering top-tier customer service (with extra sprinkles!)
• Managing shifts, schedules, and daily operations
• Keeping the shop sparkling clean and organized
• Handling inventory and making sure we never run out of fan favorites
• Jumping into scoop, serve, and celebrate with customers
• Managing shifts and daily operations
• Community relations and customer experience

What We’re Looking For

• Previous leadership or supervisory experience (food service a plus!)
• A positive, upbeat attitude
• Strong communication and problem-solving skills
• Lead, supervise, and train all employees in every phase of product preparation, including product portioning, packaging, and cleaning duties
• Manage cost controls and inventory.
• Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, high-energy environment

Physical Requirements

• Carry up to 50lbs
• Stand and walk on a hard surface for 9-10 hours per day
• Tolerate up to 45 minutes in a walk-in cooler at temperature as low as 32 degrees F during inventory
• Tolerate up to 35 minutes in a walk-in Freezer at temperature at -10 degrees F during inventory and stocking
