The Store Manager is responsible for playing a critical role in providing support to merchandising, operational and human resources functions for an individual store to achieve or exceed planned sales and profits. The position requires a proactive and vigilant individual who remains highly engaged with customers, demonstrates integrity, effective communication skills, and the ability to work effectively in a dynamic retail setting. The Store Manager will build a positive work culture, drive employee involvement, and support change‑management efforts within the retail organization.

Duties & Responsibilities

• Recruit, interview, hire, counsel, and terminate staff in accordance with legal compliance and internal processes.
• Maintain financial controls including shrink, payroll, and other operating expenses.
• Ensure proper inventory controls and reconcile all inventory transactions.
• Monitor sales activities to ensure customers receive satisfactory service.
• Direct and supervise employees engaged in sales, inventory handling, and cash receipt reconciliation.
• Ensure adherence of staff to all Citi Trends, Inc. policies and procedures.
• Perform other duties as assigned.

Required Skills & Abilities

• Ability to perform basic mathematical calculations (addition, subtraction, multiplication, division, percentages).

Education & Experience

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• 3‑5 years of retail experience as a Store Manager.
