PPG is seeking a Store Manager in Los Angeles to lead a team towards achieving operational excellence while ensuring superior customer service. The ideal candidate will possess a High School diploma and significant retail management experience, alongside excellent leadership and problem-solving skills. Additionally, the role demands flexibility with hours and the ability to handle physical tasks as necessary, supporting a dynamic and high-performing environment.
As a Store Manager, you will empower your team to achieve outstanding operational results, while delivering outstanding customer service. You will report to the Operations Manager and work on-site 100% of the time in Los Angeles, CA.
Key Responsibilities:
Achieve sales and profit plan by controlling expenses, working capital, inventory, shrinkage, and growing net contribution.
Focus on customer service by ensuring that high service standards are maintained.
Resolve customer issues.
Maintain a high level of associate engagement through leadership by training, mentoring, motivating, and resolving associate issues.
Maintain understanding of local market, operations-based selling, and customer base.
Ensure that the appearance of the store's exterior and interior, including merchandizing displays, are maintained to required standards.
Qualifications:
High School diploma or equivalent certification with 2+ years of retail management experience required; knowledge of application and use of paint and sundries is desirable.
Experience with computers and Internet applications required.
Must work flexible shifts and hours, minimum 50 hours required per week; must have a valid driver's license.
Ability to lift up to 80 pounds infrequently and 40-60 pounds routinely.
Must consent to a background investigation, drug test, and motor vehicle record check.
The salary for this position ranges from $25 to $27 per hour. Due to the nature of this position, you are eligible for overtime.
