Job Description:

This position is responsible for the overall profitability and customer relations of the store. The Store Manager supervises all store operations, including sub-department managers, and must have a comprehensive understanding of departments such as Meat, Produce, Bakery/Deli, and Grocery. Responsibilities include interviewing and hiring staff, establishing work schedules, managing employee concerns, bookkeeping, and preparing daily reports.

Requirements:

• Previous experience as an Assistant Store Manager.
• Provide two or three professional references (e.g., store manager, district manager, or previous employer) and pass a background check.

Essential Functions:

• Maintain high standards of service and operation.
• Use of fingers, hands, and arms; operate a 10-key calculator.
• Perform basic math, including calculating retail prices.
• Build relationships with customers and suppliers ethically.
• Adhere to job principles, procedures, and policies.
• Effectively direct and oversee work within the store.
• Support and motivate employees; provide training and leadership.
• Understand the duties of all departments (Meat, Bakery/Deli, Produce).
• Communicate effectively with the Store Manager and other PICs.
• Exercise good judgment, plan, organize, and solve problems.
• Control expenses and monitor store activities.
• Perform all duties as per company policies.

Desired, Non-Essential Functions:

Proficiency in Microsoft Outlook and corporate databases (Item Master, Movement).

Qualifications:

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Fluent in reading, writing, and speaking English.
• Ability to perform basic mathematical calculations, including algebra and geometry.

Physical Demands:

• Stand for up to 8 hours daily.
• Use hands, arms, and fingers to handle tools or operate equipment.
• Lift weights up to 75 pounds; carry weights up to 50 pounds for specified distances.
• Push and pull weights as specified.
• Stoop, kneel, crouch, crawl, and use ladders or stairs as needed.
