Job description

ABOUT THE POSITION

With over 430 retail stores worldwide, our Store Leadership Teams are essential to our business. From ensuring effective store operations, strategies, and procedures, to guiding and developing team members, our Store Leadership Teams help create memorable customer experiences while supporting and helping drive the company’s mission of “Connecting Active People with Their Passions.”

As the Store Manager, you will lead a team of store leaders and associates to deliver an engaging consumer experience to drive sales and execute marketing directives that expand our consumer base. You will maintain an understanding of the store consumer base and effectively communicate product needs to influence product assortment. You will plan and direct the day-to-day operations of the store, maintain high standards, foster a positive environment, forecast staffing needs, and develop recruiting strategies. The Store Manager will also develop diverse associates and leaders to achieve career and company goals.

HOW YOU’LL MAKE A DIFFERENCE
  • Lead the store team to hire, develop, and coach diverse staff to meet consumer engagement and experience expectations. Inspire and guide team members for growth and career development.
  • Lead product merchandising and promotional execution to tell compelling product and brand stories that influence consumer buying decisions.
  • Develop and execute strategies to drive sales, minimize inventory shrink, and manage operating expenses within budget to achieve divisional goals and increase profitability.
  • Ensure effective and accurate execution of operating procedures and adherence to company policies and standards.
  • Provide regular feedback and recognition to employees; maintain accurate store records related to applicants, hires, payroll, coaching, disciplinary actions, and terminations.
  • Communicate regularly with Area/District Managers, providing relevant market information, product needs, and employee updates.
YOU HAVE
  • Bachelor’s or master’s degree, applicable certification, or equivalent experience
  • At least 5 years of relevant experience
  • Experience managing store leaders and individual contributors or functioning as a lead
  • Strong problem-solving skills for resolving operational and organizational issues impacting finances and efficiency
  • Proficiency with Inventory and Point of Sale (POS) systems and retail software tools
JOB CONDITIONS
  • Active environment requiring constant movement, physical activity, and potential exposure to dust and noise
  • Occasional work in various locations
  • Ability to communicate effectively
  • Flexible availability for retail schedules, including seasonal and location-specific variations
