Job summary

Murphy USA Inc. is seeking a Store Manager to lead a fast-paced retail operation, drive a best-in-class customer experience, and manage all facets of the store with accountability for sales, inventory, and team development.

You will hire and train your team, optimize operations, support company initiatives, and deliver outstanding service at the register while maintaining store standards and promoting safety and compliance.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's Degree required.
• Minimum 1 year of store/retail management experience.
• Minimum 2 years as Assistant Store Manager or Supervisor.

Responsibilities

• Hire, train and develop your team to grow with us and coach them to success.
• Maintain proactive operational excellence to manage expenses, drive sales and inventories, and schedule shifts.
• Support rollouts of company initiatives and reach store and district goals.
• Provide best-in-class customer service at the point of sale and with customers.
• Stock, clean, operate the cash register and handle other duties as needed.

RESPONSIBILITIES

• Hiring, training and developing your team to grow with us - assume the role of a coach and mentor to your team, guiding them toward success and development
• Maintaining a proactive operational excellence mindset to efficiently manage operation expenses, drive sales growth and promotional activities, manage product orders and inventory, schedule shifts, conduct surveys and continuously strive to exceed company metrics
• Supporting rollouts of company initiatives and reaching store-level and district goals
• Helping your team by demonstrating best-in-class customer service when assisting customers
• Stocking, cleaning, working the cash register and any other additional duties, as needed

REQUIREMENTS

Must be 18+ years of age, 19 in Indiana, 20 in Kentucky and 21 in Alabama, Arkansas, Colorado, Illinois, Kansas, Mississippi, New Mexico, Tennessee, and Utah

Valid driver's license and reliable transportation

Must have at least ONE of the following

• Bachelor's Degree
• One year of continuous store or retail management experience
• Two years of continuous Assistant Store Manager or Supervisor experience
