ABOUT THE POSITION

With over 430 retail stores worldwide, our Store Leadership Teams are essential to our business. From ensuring effective store operations, strategies, and procedures, to guiding and developing team members, our Store Leadership Teams help create memorable customer experiences while supporting and helping drive the company's mission of "Connecting Active People with Their Passions."

As the Store Manager, you will lead a team of store leaders and associates to deliver an engaging consumer experience, drive sales, and execute marketing directives that expand our consumer base. You will maintain an understanding of the store's consumer base and communicate product needs to influence product assortment. You will plan and direct the day-to-day operations of the store, maintain high standards, foster a positive environment for employees and consumers, forecast staffing needs, and develop recruiting strategies. The Store Manager will also develop diverse associates and leaders to prepare them for career and company growth.

HOW YOU'LL MAKE A DIFFERENCE
  1. Lead the store team to hire, develop, and coach diverse staff to meet consumer engagement and experience expectations. Inspire, guide, and develop team members for short-term and long-term growth.
  2. Lead product merchandising and promotional execution to tell compelling product and brand stories that influence consumer buying decisions.
  3. Develop and execute strategies that drive sales, minimize inventory shrink, and manage operating expenses within budget to achieve divisional goals and increase profitability.
  4. Ensure effective and accurate execution of operating procedures, with team members adhering to company policies and standards.
  5. Provide regular feedback and recognition to employees, maintain accurate store records related to applicants, hires, payroll, coaching, disciplinary actions, and terminations.
  6. Communicate regularly with the Area/District Manager, providing relevant market information, product needs, and employee updates.
YOU HAVE
  • Bachelor's or master's degree, applicable certification, or equivalent experience
  • At least 5 years of functional experience
  • Experience managing store leaders, individual contributors, or departments, or functioning as a lead
  • Strong problem-solving skills to resolve technical, operational, and organizational issues impacting finances, efficiency, and effectiveness
  • Skill operating inventory and POS systems, and other retail software tools
JOB CONDITIONS
  • Active environment requiring constant movement, physical effort (e.g., lifting up to 40 lbs.), use of specialized equipment, and exposure to dust and noise
  • Occasional work in various environments
  • Effective communication skills
  • Flexible retail schedule, adaptable to seasonal and business trends, complying with all laws regarding availability
