Job summary

Staples, Inc. is seeking a General Manager to lead a dynamic, team-oriented retail store. You will drive customer service, community engagement, and sales, while guiding a multi-faceted operations strategy including printing, marketing services, and B2B networking.

The role emphasizes consultative selling, coaching your team, and owning the store's profitability and customer experience. You will empower staff to learn, grow, and deliver results, uphold Staples values, and ensure exceptional

Qualifications

• 1+ year progressively responsible store management experience in a retail environment.
• Store operations experience with financial acumen and driving results.
• Experience creating a customer-centric environment with total solution selling.
• Experience developing a team in operational excellence to drive profitable YOY sales and margins.
• Ability to lift/move materials in the 10-50 pound range, climb ladders, stand and walk.

Provide strong leadership in community, customer service, sales, and team development.

Essential skills and experience:

• 1+ year progressively responsible store management experience in a retail environment as a General/Store Manager
• Store Operations experience with analysis, planning, financial acumen and driving results
• Experience creating a customer centric environment and working in a consultative selling environment that provides customers a total solution
• Experience developing a team in operational excellence to drive profitable YOY sales and margins
• Ability to lift/move materials in the 10-50 pound range, climb ladders, stand and walk continuously
