Job summary

ShopRite of Cheltenham in Cheltenham, PA seeks a friendly associate to deliver a great customer experience while keeping the store clean and safe. You will perform maintenance and janitorial duties throughout the store as assigned by Store Management to ensure a welcoming environment for customers and teammates.

This role requires ability to read and follow directions, stand for long shifts, lift up to 50 lbs occasionally, and work with others.

Qualifications

• Reads, writes, and speaks English well.
• Able to stand/walk for shift length.
• Regularly lift 25 lbs., occasionally 50 lbs.
• Tolerance to dust and cleaning agents during housekeeping.
• Interact with customers in a friendly, helpful manner.
• Work cooperatively with others.

Responsibilities

• Empty trash and recycling as prescribed by Store Management.
• Clean and sanitize bathrooms and restrooms.
• Replenish paper and soap supplies in restrooms.
• Clean floors and areas per store procedures.
• Maintain clean break and lunch areas.
• Monitor inventory of cleaning supplies and request purchases.
• Operate cleaning equipment safely and effectively.
• Conserve utilities and water where possible.
• Coordinate activities with other associates for efficiency.
• Greet customers and provide prompt service.
• Collect and return shopping carts to proper locations.
• Report equipment issues promptly.
• Follow store rules, policies, safety, and security standards.
