Job summary

Sprouts Farmers Market in Albuquerque is seeking an Assistant Store Manager to direct all store operations, ensure safe and compliant performance, and drive sales and customer satisfaction. You will lead the store leadership team of about ten, coach department managers and receivers, manage inventory and expenses, and uphold Sprouts values in a fast-paced, friendly environment.

Qualifications

• Minimum 21 years of age.
• High school diploma or equivalent; degree preferred in related field.
• 1-3 years of retail experience or equivalent education/experience.
• Experience leading both perishable and non-perishable departments with P&L and safety responsibilities.
• Strong written and verbal communication, analytical, and solution-oriented decisiveness.
• Proficient in Microsoft Office and HR software; able to manage scheduling and HR tasks.
• Flexible to work nights, weekends, and holidays.
• Food Safety certification is required.
• Able to lift 60 pounds and perform physical tasks as described.

Responsibilities

• Lead a team of approximately ten people including Department Managers and Receivers.
• Direct all store operations to drive sales, customer service, and efficiency.
• Manage inventory, labor, and expenses to meet targets and ensure proper margins.
• Ensure compliance with safety, labeling, health, and sanitation standards.
• Provide coaching, feedback, and development opportunities for leaders.
• Communicate policy changes, new initiatives, and product knowledge to team.
• Address emergencies, equipment failures, and critical issues with urgency.
• Maintain strong loss prevention practices and proper inventory controls.
