Job summary

Tom Thumb Stores is seeking an Assistant Manager to support the Store Manager and lead the team in delivering an exceptional guest shopping experience. You will coach guest service behaviors, assist with training, scheduling, and day-to-day store operations to ensure a clean, well-stocked, and welcoming store.

The role requires 1 year of retail or food experience and completion of the Assistant Manager Training program.

Qualifications

• High School or GED required.
• 1 year retail or food experience preferred.
• Must complete Assistant Manager Training program before assigned in this role.

Responsibilities

• Coach the store team on Guest Service behaviors to greet guests warmly and make them feel welcomed.
• Assist with training, scheduling, and coaching to build a strong, engaged team.
• Partner with Store Manager to achieve operational excellence and hit sales goals and controls.
• Ensure store appearance and cleanliness, coffee station, food service area, and restrooms meet company standards.
• Assist with quality control, merchandising, safety programs, and stock levels to stay 100% in-stock.
• Perform other duties as assigned by the Store Manager or in Manager's absence.
