Dollar General Corporation is seeking an Assistant Store Manager to help run a clean, customer-focused store. You will assist with supervision, merchandise presentation, deposits, and loss prevention while supporting the Store Manager.

You will lead customer service, cashiering, and merchandising duties, open/close shifts, train staff, and ensure compliance with policies. The role requires reliability and strong communication in a fast-paced retail environment.

Competenze

• High school diploma or equivalent strongly preferred.
• One year of experience in a retail environment and six months supervisory experience preferred.
• Effective interpersonal, written and oral communication skills.
• Ability to read and interpret documents such as diagrams, safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedures manuals.
• Ability to perform cash handling and deposits.

Mansioni

• Provide superior customer service leadership; greet customers, operate cash register and scanner.
• Open and close the store a minimum of two days per week.
• Assist Store Manager with scheduling employees and training; conduct safety meetings.
• Rotate merchandise and build displays; follow planograms and merchandising practices.
• Assist in maintaining inventory accuracy; manage damages and markdowns.
• Maintain cash control; authorize refunds and deposits and count tills.
