Job summary

Columbia Sportswear in Boulder, CO is seeking an Assistant Store Manager to join the Store Leadership Team and help ensure effective store operations. You will assist the Store Manager to improve customer service, drive sales, and increase profitability while modeling leadership and delivering exceptional service.

You will lead staff, participate in hiring and coaching, manage inventory, and help implement action plans to address sales, safety, and training.

Qualifications

• No specific education required (High School Diploma or GED preferred).
• Experience in a leadership role within retail is beneficial.
• Strong communication and customer service skills are essential.

Responsibilities

• Provide leadership and direction to store staff, including supervisors and associates.
• Assist in interviewing, hiring, training, and coaching staff as necessary.
• Support plans to enhance employee productivity and performance.
• Coach staff to meet performance standards on a day-to-day basis.
• Maintain inventory levels through replenishment, organization, and shrink control.
• Assist in developing action plans to address sales, safety, training, and personnel development.
