Job summary

Columbia Sportswear Company in Boulder, CO is seeking an Assistant Store Manager to join the Store Leadership Team. This role supports the Store Manager to run daily store operations, deliver exceptional customer service, drive sales, and improve profitability.

You’ll coach staff, oversee inventory, and help hire and train associates while maintaining a positive, performance-driven environment in a busy retail setting.

Qualifications

• No specific education required (HS diploma or GED preferred).
• 5+ years of experience in a store leadership role.
• Experience operating POS and in-store systems.
• Effective communication with staff and customers.

Responsibilities

• Provide leadership and direction to store staff, including supervisors and associates.
• Execute and support plans to enhance employee productivity and performance.
• Assist in interviewing, hiring, training, and coaching staff.
• Provide coaching and direction on a day-to-day basis to ensure staff performance standards are met.
• Maintain appropriate inventory levels through effective replenishment, organization, shrink control, and communication.
• Assist in developing action plans to address issues relating to store sales, goals, safety, training, and personnel development.
