Job summary

Famous Footwear is hiring an Assistant Store Manager in Massachusetts to lead the team in the Store Manager’s absence. You will inspire associates, drive customer engagement, and ensure flawless operational execution while maintaining an engaging, family-friendly shopping environment.

You will coach, develop, and assess team performance, balance staffing with peak times, and uphold store standards to deliver memorable experiences.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED required.
• At least 1 year of retail sales experience.
• Experience interviewing, hiring, and training people.
• Ability to lead, motivate, and communicate with store associates.
• Ability to train and develop associates for customer experience and operations.
• Judgment and discretion with Store Sales Manager as needed.
• Strong cognitive skills: problem solving, decision making, and financial/quantitative analysis.
• Advanced knowledge of general retail practices and procedures.
• Flexible schedule including holidays, nights, weekends, and extended hours.
• Basic computer skills.
