Dollar General Corporation in Lithonia, GA seeks a Store Manager to lead all store operations, including staffing, inventory control, merchandising, and customer service. The role requires strong leadership and the ability to drive profitability through effective planning and execution.

You will recruit and train staff, manage schedules, monitor sales and expenses, ensure compliance with policies, and maintain a safe, clean shopping environment while delivering exceptional service to customers

Competenze

• High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
• 1 year of management experience in a retail environment preferred.

Mansioni

• Recruits, selects, and retains qualified employees according to federal and state labor laws and Company policies; ensures the store is properly staffed.
• Provides proper training for employees; conducts performance evaluations; identifies gaps for appropriate solutions and/or counseling, up to and including termination.
• Makes recommendations regarding employee pay rate and advancement.
• Communicates performance, conduct and safety expectations regularly; coordinates meetings and events to encourage safety, security and policies.
• Ensures the store is staffed and opened/closed properly; opens/closes at least two times per week.
• Evaluates operating statements to identify business trends, expenses and opportunities.
• Orders to meet in-stock targets; reviews ordering plan and inventory management issues weekly; follows up on BSR/cycle counts.
• Facilitates efficient staging, stocking and storage of merchandise following company work processes.
• Ensures merchandise presentation with pricing and signage according to practices.
• Maintains accurate inventory levels by controlling damages and markdowns; proper paperwork and controls.
• Ensures financial integrity through cashier accountability and cash control procedures.
• Provides superior customer service leadership.
• Maintains a clean, safe environment and properly equipped store.
• Follows SOPs and employee handbook; ensures compliance.
• Completes paperwork and documentation on guidelines and deadlines.
