Job summary

Brookshire Grocery Company (BGC) in Tyler, Texas, is seeking a store operations leader to manage fresh perimeter departments—bakery, deli, produce, and market. You will ensure product quality, food safety, and inventory stock levels while executing merchandising plans that meet company standards and grow store profits.

You will also hire, train, and develop partners, review sales data, and lead planning, scheduling, and reporting to senior management.

Qualifications

• Associates Degree in related field required.
• HIPAA, TABC/LACT/Able, Manager Food Safety and AML certifications within 2 weeks of starting role.
• Must demonstrate strong leadership and coaching abilities.
• Experience with store operations and safety standards preferred.
• Proven ability to manage inventories, planograms, and merchandising strategies.

Responsibilities

• Interview, hire, train and develop partners; plan, assign and direct work.
• Review historical data to predict future sales and manage inventory.
• Maintain and improve sales, cash flow, and product quality.
• Open/close the store and ensure staffing coverage and safety.
• Enforce food safety, pricing, signage, and planogram adherence.
• Lead loss prevention initiatives and strategic objectives.
• Provide customer engagement and handle inquiries and complaints.
• Ensure accurate inventory and paperwork for shipments.
