Job summary

Sprouts Farmers Market is seeking an Assistant Store Manager to direct all store operations, drive sales, and lead a team of department managers and receivers. You will model Sprouts values, manage inventory and labor, and ensure safety and food safety compliance to deliver an exceptional customer experience.

The role requires 1–3 years of retail leadership experience, strong communication, and flexible scheduling, including nights and weekends.

Qualifications

• Be at least 21 years of age.
• High school diploma or equivalent, a degree in business management, marketing, retailing, communications, advertising, or related field preferred.
• 1-3 years of retail experience; or an acceptable combination of education and experience.
• Demonstrated success leading non-perishable and perishable department operations with integrity, including profit and loss, safety, staffing, and merchandising.
• Professional communication skills, both written and verbal.

Responsibilities

• Direct all business processes at the assigned store to drive sales and efficiency.
• Lead a team of approximately ten people including Department Managers and Receivers.
• Oversee inventory, labor, and expenses to meet targets.
• Ensure safety, sanitation, and compliance with company standards.
• Coach leaders, assign responsibilities, and support hiring and staffing decisions.
• Maintain top item knowledge and department schematics to drive sales.
