Job summary

The TJX Companies, Inc. in Grand Rapids, MI is seeking an Assistant Store Manager to empower a team and deliver memorable customer experiences. You will lead operations across merchandising, service, and backroom functions while driving results in a fast-paced environment.

Qualifications

Minimum of 2 years retail leadership experience as an Assistant or Store Manager.
Ability to lead, develop, and empower a large team.
Excellent organizational and communication skills with ability to influence and mentor others.
Proficiency in store operations, merchandising, safety, and loss prevention with follow-through.

Responsibilities

Drive store performance by supporting sales, managing expenses, and overseeing merchandising, backroom, frontline, cash office, service, markdowns, scheduling, shipping and receiving.
Recruit and develop Associates; mentor and foster a positive customer experience.
Communicate action plans for projects, targets, and store changes; input on succession planning.
Implement strategies to meet sales, expense and service targets; coordinate loss prevention and store layout improvements.
