Job summary

The J.Jill Group is seeking an Assistant Store Manager to support overall store success. You will lead a team, drive sales, and deliver an exceptional customer experience in a dynamic retail environment.

As a key connector between customers and the brand, you will coach staff, analyze trends, and maintain merchandising standards while partnering with leadership to meet targets and ensure a welcoming store atmosphere.

Qualifications

• 2+ years Women's Specialty Retail experience preferred, with at least 1 year in a leadership role.
• Proven ability to support and develop high-performing teams.
• Strong customer service skills and ability to build lasting relationships.
• Experience in analyzing business trends and executing action plans.
• Passion for fashion, styling, and merchandising.
• Excellent communication skills and ability to manage ambiguity with confidence.
• Available to work a flexible schedule, including weekends, evenings, and holidays.

Responsibilities

• Acts as a role model, develops and maintains strong customer relationships through genuine interactions.
• Assist in hiring, training, and developing a high-performing team.
• Help drive store performance by analyzing sales trends, setting goals, and executing strategies.
• Maintain knowledge of products to provide personalized styling recommendations.
• Support daily store operations, manage inventory, lead floor sets, and uphold visual standards.
• Take ownership of responsibilities and support the Store Manager in store success.
• Communicate across organizational levels with appropriate messaging.
• Perform additional responsibilities to help the store be successful.
