Lids Sports Group, a leading licensed sports retailer, seeks an Assistant Store Manager for its Gilroy, CA location. You will lead daily store operations, drive sales, and deliver exceptional customer service while upholding brand standards and inventory control.

You will oversee scheduling, training, and team development, ensuring a fun, inclusive environment and adherence to company policies. The role emphasizes cash handling, merchandising, and operational excellence.

Qualifications

• Established ability to produce sales results while minimizing loss.
• Strong interpersonal skills and the ability to communicate verbally in a clear professional manner.
• Ability to work unsupervised.

Responsibilities

• Act as Manager on duty for scheduling issues and customer complaints when Store Manager is absent.
• Manage store associates through training programs, goal setting, and follow up when Manager is absent.
• Administer discipline through verbal and written warnings in the absence of the Store Manager.
• Create a fun and productive environment; show how work supports company objectives and store success.
• Adhere to Lids Brand Standards and dress code; foster respectful, inclusive team relations.
• Schedule and staff the store, calling in associates for peaks when needed.
• Contribute to training programs and follow-up on sales goals and tasks.
• Assist in recruiting and training store personnel on operations and procedures.
• Encourage policy compliance and safeguard company assets.
